About Glowlucky.vip

Flower arranging taught the way it actually works

We run online flower arranging sessions for beginners — small groups and one-on-one — from Wollongong. Every session is live, every question gets answered, and every student leaves with something they actually made.

How this started

01

Glowlucky.vip began in 2015 as a small local workshop in North Wollongong. The idea was straightforward: most people who want to learn flower arranging don't have access to a good florist school nearby, and weekend workshops rarely give enough time to actually build confidence.

02

Moving online wasn't a reaction to anything — it was a deliberate choice to reach students across regional NSW who couldn't travel. The format shifted to live video sessions where students source their own flowers locally and work through arrangements in real time with an instructor watching.

What the sessions cover

Flower selection and conditioning

Choosing stems that last, cutting angles, hydration timing before you arrange

Structure and proportion

Building a stable base, working with odd numbers, reading visual balance

Colour and texture pairing

Combining foliage with blooms, avoiding flat arrangements, seasonal palettes

Vase mechanics and wrapping

Grid tape, hand-tied bunches, spiral technique for market-style bouquets

Completed floral arrangements from student sessions — varied styles and colour palettes
Group sessions run
up to 8 students
Small enough that the instructor sees every arrangement

Group vs individual sessions

01

Group sessions run on a fixed schedule — Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings — and follow a set curriculum across four weeks. Students see how others approach the same arrangement, which often teaches as much as the direct instruction does.

02

Individual sessions are booked on demand and move at whatever pace suits the student. If someone wants to focus entirely on hand-tied bouquets for three sessions, that's what happens. The curriculum adapts to what they're actually trying to achieve.

4 wks Standard group program length

Eight sessions across four weeks, each 90 minutes. Long enough to build real skill, short enough to finish without losing momentum.
